The heart of Rivers of New Hope Ministries is to emulate our Savior, Jesus who is the Messiah as we care for those who He died to save. The vision is multi-faceted. Our purpose is to:
Compassionately share the message of hope that is found by having relationship with Jesus.
- Encourage peaceful decison making and non-violent discourse as is emphasized in New Testament philosphy. This effort includes but is not limited to teaching tolerance and forgiveness within the fractured family unit, standing against violence in our communities, and further activism concerning domestic and international conflicts. We believe in standing against oppression and defending the cause of those who are! We believe that peace is only possible through a personal commitment of living by the Spirit. We believe in the equality of humanity and bringing honor to all who He has has created. We believe in self-evaluation over imposing personal judgment. We encourage personal responsibility without excuse when addressing those who have hurt another. We believe vengeance belongs to God alone and determine to act peaceably among one another, specifically to those who oppose us.
- Pursue spiritual justice by encouraging non-violent resistance. We further attempt to retrieve and safely dispose of any carnal weapons of warfare.
- Share humanitarian aid through distribution of clothing, personal care items, non-perishable food, toys and other goods entrusted to our charity. We will serve those who have been or devastated by natural disasers war, famine, etc. In many cases, this donation will be given to a third party who will share the goods with the heart of compassion as demonstated by Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
