Evangelistic Celebration Recap Thanksgiving Day 2007

My heart is so grateful for this very special season. I must admit, Thanksgiving is my very favorite Holiday.  I must remind myself that the day shouldn’t be limited to a Thursday in November, but should be an attitude of the heart every day of the year.

My dear friend, Dr. Joanna Palermo and her friend Daniel traveled from Nashville to spend their holiday with us. Their heart cry is very similar to our own, so we found ourselves doing an impromptu “Celebration” of sorts at the shelter.

We were grateful to spend part of our day with some of those whom we love the most.
The room was lovely, filled with decorations of the season.  Many of our clients spent the day with family and/or friends outside the shelter.  However, there are always those who remain.  During lunch we sang, gave small gifts and prayed. Joanna and Daniel both shared a word of encouragement and prayed over the ladies and children. They did a fabulous job! At the close of our time together, a little girl responded to the call for salvation-a beautiful nine year old girl, with a smile radiating from ear to ear.  Please keep this little lady in your prayers!

We were also pleased to follow up with two ladies who accepted Jesus at Celebrations earlier this Fall. Please remember Mercedes and Lakesha, as they are truly desirous of walking out their salvation.

Love and My Thanksgiving Wishes to All,
