From various testimonies of friends and colleagues, I have found that many who love Jesus are going through various trials. In the Book of James we are encouraged that times of testing produce character and build perseverance.  The Holy Spirit reminded me of the story of a boat ride with Jesus and His disciples. They were suddenly confronted with a huge storm. The thunder rolled and the waves crashed over the boat. What I found interesting is reading that Jesus was ASLEEP! With all of the natural chaos and human drama, our Savior was at peace. So much can be said about that. As frightening as our storms can be, we can call on our Jesus and He will either rebuke the winds and rain OR He will give us the ability to endure.

The shelter is very full. We had one of our largest evenings with attendance during the service. Most of the clothing was gone by the end of the night. There was a sweet spirit in the house.

Let us remember these…who boldly came forward to acknowledge their need for Jesus; Savior and Lord.  Please remember each of them in your prayers…for a healthy church home and a continued desire to walk out their faith.
